If you thought Captain America had a thing for Harley-Davidson’s burly bikes, think again. A decade ago, Steve Rogers wouldn’t be caught on two wheels unless they sported the iconic roar of a Milwaukee V-twin. Harley and Cap have been as inseparable as peanut butter and jelly since his very first MCU outing. But times, like superheroes, evolve. Over the years, Cap has gone from roaring past alien invasions on a Harley to commandeering a sleek pre-production C7 Corvette and even a fully-electric Audi e-tron. Talk about a glow-up!

Fast forward to “Captain America: Brave New World,” and Sam Wilson (our new Cap) narrows the playing field. Enter the GMC brand as the superhero’s exclusive ride supplier. Front and center? The GMC Hummer EV SUV. Yes, the massive, 9,000-pound, all-electric juggernaut takes the limelight, proving that someone didn’t skip their leg day.

And if you’re sitting there thinking, “How the heck does a nine-ton fridge on wheels work for a guy who hops out of planes for a living?”—we’re with you. Fear not, though, because this beast has more guts than meets the eye. Boasting 1,000 horsepower and absurd acceleration, it’s here to remind you that this is no ordinary EV. Testers clocked the Hummer EV Edition 1 blasting from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. That’s Porsche 911 Carrera speeds wrapped in a body that could square off against the Hulk—and maybe even win.

This isn’t GMC’s first tango in the MCU either. Back in 2014’s “The Winter Soldier,” GM shamelessly paraded its Chevrolet stars, shoving the Corvette Stingray, Impala, Suburban, Tahoe, and Malibu into our faces in what felt like a two-hour-long car ad. Now, the Hummer EV struts through Sam Wilson’s debut solo flick like it owns the streets, and frankly, it kind of does.

But that’s not all, folks. Early in the movie, Sam also makes use of a GMC Sierra pickup—a subtle nod to practicality amidst the superhero antics. Yet, much like Steve Rogers’ Harley Softail Breakout from days of yore, the Sierra doesn’t get much of a spotlight. Maybe it’s just not as camera-friendly?

Whether you’re Team EV or just here for the Marvel magic, one thing’s for sure—the Hummer EV SUV proves that even Captain America’s choice of ride needs to be nothing short of epic.
